White Sox 7, Angels 6

Nick Swisher hit a walk-off two-run double off Jeff Kennard in the ninth inning to give the White Sox a 7-6 win on Tuesday here in Tucson.

Why Swisher was playing in the 9th inning on March 4 is anyone's guess, but he was.

Ervin Santana allowed two runs in 2 2/3 innings, his second straight start in which he's given up a pair of runs in the first inning. He is continuing his work on his mechanics and noted his left shoulder was coming open too soon as part of the flaw.

"Spring training is for getting ready for the season," he said. "I don't worry about results now."

Orlando Cabrera, playing his former team, went 1 for 3 with a run scored.
