NASCAR: The marathon goes on hold til Monday

First, they were to resume racing at 9. Then it was 10. Then it was 11. And now the crews are pushing their gear from pit road back to the garages. The jet blowers have been working on wet spots in Turn 1 and Turn 4, but the announcement was that the humidity and dew point were too much to overcome.

So the race has been postponed until Monday morning at 10 a.m., with 87 laps completed. Fox will televise the remainder of the Cup Series race, with ESPN or ESPN2 (they're not sure yet) doing the Nationwide Series race that is to follow.

Around 15,000 people were still in the grandstand by the time the race was finally called off, just after 11.
