Lakers bench is productive again

The Lakers are proving to have one of the better benches in the NBA.

That is what helped them get over the hump again against the Miami Heat.

Jordan Farmer came off the bench to lead the Lakers in scoring, producing a career-high 24 points.

Ronny Turiaf came off the bench to lead the Lakers in rebounding, collecting 12.

Sasha Vujacic came off the bench to score 12 points.

``I think they bring a lot of spirit to the game,’’ Lakers coach Phil Jackson said about his bench. ``They give us some confidence. The more minutes they play, the better they play. The better they play, the more minutes they get. Those things go hand in hand.’’
