Selanne is back with the Ducks (expanded)
Teemu Selanne has re-signed with the Ducks, ending his half-season retirement, the team announced.
The Ducks' career scoring leader takes the ice with the team at 2 and is expected to meet the media at 3:15 p.m.
Selanne rejoins a team currently in third place in the Pacific Division (27-20-6, 60), one point behind co-leaders Dallas and San Jose.
The Ducks head out tomorrow on an eight-game trip to Minnesota, St. Louis, Philadelphia, New York (to face the Islanders and Rangers), New Jersey, Detroit and Colorado before returning to Honda Center on Feb. 15 to face Dallas.
Selanne had 48 goals and 94 points in helping the Ducks to the Stanley Cup championship last season. He has missed all of this season contemplating retirement.
Selanne, 37, has played eight of his 14 NHL seasons with the Ducks. Among the club records he holds are for:
