Lake Elsinore district votes to send layoff notices to 35 employees
Lake Elsinore Unified School District trustees voted to send notices of possible layoff to 35 certificated employees.
Staff identified 30.2 full-time equivalent positions that could be reduced, including social science, physical education and middle school core teachers due to declining enrollment.
Also identified were teachers in high school health courses. The class, which is a graduation requirement, may become an elective next year.
