Qualcomm an option for Sunday's game

The Chargers seemingly moved a step closer to playing Sunday's game against Houston at Qualcomm Stadium after San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders said the stadium would be ready and the decision would be up to the team, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported on its website.

"Should they decide to play in San Diego, the stadium will be ready on Sunday,'' Fred Sainz, spokesman for Sanders, was quoted on the paper's website. "It's their decision to play in San Diego or not.''
