The public is not happy

This is all you need to know about the abyss that this Chargers season seems to be descending into.

With a little over three minutes left, with the Chargers trailing Kansas City 30-16 and having just squandered a first-and-goal situation at the Chiefs 5 and come away with no points, this is what you heard:

"Mar-ty ... Mar-ty ... Mar-ty ... Mar-ty."

The public is not happy, and they've assessed the blame. And unless this turns around immediately, I'd say not only is Norv Turner's job on the line, but so is that of A.J. Smith.

The Chargers, incidentally, will fall to last place in the AFC West once this game is decided.
