First half analysis

It's safe to say punter Mike Scifres was San Diego's most effective player in the first half, because the four punts of his that went to Devin Hester were all too high for the Bears' return star to run with, and he signaled fair catch on each of them. (The fifth went out of bounds.)

Offensively, Philip Rivers had some really bad throws, while LaDainian Tomlinson wasn't a factor at all (10 yards in 11 carries, 14 yards on 2 catches). Defensively, has there been a Shawne Merriman sighting anywhere? Just wondering.
