Draft by the numbers

NFL Draft 2007 by the numbers as we stand 12 days out and the Raiders on the clock:

*** Oakland is the only team with five picks in the top 100 (1, 33, 65, 99, 100)
*** The Raiders are one of 6 teams with 10 picks (Atlanta, San Francisco, Tennessee, Dallas, New England)
*** Seven teams have nine picks (Detroit, Tampa Bay, Miami, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Jacksonville)
*** Eight teams have four picks in the top 100 (Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Miami, San Francisco, Buffalo, Denver, NY Jets, San Diego)
*** Seattle doesn't pick until No. 55 toward the end of the second round, having traded its first-round selection, No. 24 overall, to New England.
*** Washington, with the fewest total selections (five) picks No. 6 overall but not again until No. 143 (early in the fifth round). The Redskins traded No. 37, No. 70 and No. 104. Chicago has No. 37 from the Jets; Denver picks at No. 70 and the 49ers have No. 104.
*** Dallas and New England have the most picks at the end of the draft, with four each in the 200s.
*** There will be 255 total picks; 31 of those are compensatory picks given to teams who lost free agents. Baltimore and New England were each awarded four compensatory picks. Indianapolis has three compensatory picks.
