Protect the luggage

That's what Shannon Sharpe said at halftime about protecting the football. The Bears have lost their luggage on the field in Miami, losing fumbles, dropping snaps and, in a defining play, dropping a fourth-down pass. Desmond Clark, the big tight end, couldn't hold onto a reception after taking a hit. It was a year of dropped passes and an inability to hang on with contact and this was another example. The most important catch of this player's life was too easily jarred away. And with it any hope of a Bears Super Bowl championship.
