Pregame shows

Between CBS, ESPN and the NFL Network, the best pregame show feature was -- by far -- the piece by CBS contributor Armen Keteyian on the legacy of late Chicago Bears running backs Walter Payton and Brian Piccolo. Kudos to CBS for using footage from the original (rather than the subpar remake) "Brian's Song" movie about the unique relationship between the white Piccolo, an unsung player, and black star Gale Sayers. Like the original movie, it was impossible to avoid welling up during the piece.

Dick Enberg's profile (also on CBS) of Bill Walsh and his battle with leukemia was a close second.
