Hint or test?
On the Colts first play, Peyton Manning tried to find tight end Dallas Clark in the seam of the Tampa 2 defense. But Chicago middle linebacker Brian Urlacher dropped into coverage as Clark ran his pattern and deflected the pass. Is that a hint of things to come or Manning testing the Chicago defense? Remember, the Colts trailed New England 21-3 and looked overwhelmed. What was really going on was they were learning the Patriots' trends for later exploitation. ... The interception was more of the same. The supposed weakness of the Tampa 2 is in the seams and deep down the sideline. Underneath was open on that play.
