Combine: More on Jarrett

USC junior-entry Dwayne Jarrett did not work out with the rest of the receiver group at the scouting combine. NFL Network's Mike Mayock slipped in that Jarrett ran in the "4.7s" during training and that was one of the reasons why he didn't want to run in Indianapolis.

Later, the network's Rich Eisen noted that Jarrett had a slight groin strain that kept him from working out. If they built the bridge between the groin strain and the 4.7 clockings, I didn't hear it.

Either way, Jarrett, who put up amazing numbers in the top passing conference in Division I football in three seasons at USC, is slipping among those guessing how the receivers will go on draft day.

If they are in any way correct, Jarrett will find himself not playing for the dregs in Cleveland and Detroit but rather one of the league's better teams picking at the back end of the first round. That's the good news. The bad news is this will cost him millions in bonus money and may not leave him in the best situation for rookie playing time.
