"The Trip?"

Peyton Manning was talking about the running play that won the AFC championship game, and the big hole the Colts line opened. He said center Jeff Saturday would like his block on Patriots nose tackle Vince Wolfolk "to be known as 'The Block,' right up there with 'The Drive' and 'The Catch.'" Manning added, "It looked like Wolfolk tripped to me..."
For a guy with a spate of silly commercials airing right now, Manning has been a fairly bland interview, but at least he got into the spirit of things a bit today. Asked about a pressure moment outside football, he told a long story about having to perform in an eighth grade play, dressing up in an elaborate costume and dancing a tango.
"Having to do that in front of my brothers, now that was pressure. Somehow I got through it."
Kiln-fired like that, how did it ever take him nine years to get to a Super Bowl?
