Now Hear This: Trever Keith

Remember a little band called Face to Face? They were punk band, guys originally from Victorville who played a ton in Riverside back in the day and generally rocked your face off? One of the band's finest moments, "Disconnected," is still played on KROQ on a regular basis (and at one time was my ringtone, but it was noe of those old phones so it was a midi version of Face to Face, weird). Remember them?

Special to The Press-Enterprise
Trever Keith was in Face to Face, now he has a solo career with an album called "Melancholics Anonymous."

Anyway, the frontman was Trever Keith, and he has a solo album out, "Melancholics Anonymous," which he compared to Face to Face's "Ignorance Is Bliss" album in an interview a couple of months back. It's more indie rock than punk, but it's 10 kinds of awesome and you can stream it for free, which is even better. "Sick of Me" and "Pushover" are my favorite tracks.

Well, you can see Keith live Friday night at the Troubadour.

Also, Curt Phillips from Upland is one of the openers.

Can't wait for this show tomorrow. The F2F reunion at the Glasshouse was amazing. As for Trever's solo stuff at a small venue...should be just as epic.
