Desert resident Karista Smith is bringing some hometown love to the Palomino Stage tomorrow.

She's the first unsigned act to play Stagecoach and she's truly delightful.

Smith found out about a month and a half ago that she was going to be playing the festival when she was in the car with her manager. He got a text message and asked her to read it while he drove and it was from festival producers Goldenvoice, letting her know that she was playing.

"I just started screaming," she said. And then she started calling everyone she knows.

"Goldenvoice really knows how to throw a party," she said, explaining what made Stagecoach different from other festivals out there.
