Community Health Action Network (CHAN) plans to host its Men of Color Health Expo to increase the awareness of the health disparities found among African American and Latino men on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Hook Park in Victorville.

Health workshops featuring medical experts and health educators will be available for attendees. Workshop topics include high blood pressure and cholesterol, stroke prevention, prostate cancer, colon cancer and diabetes.

Other event features include vendor exhibits, children's activities, live music and giveaways.

The first 100 people will receive a free lunch.

The event, sponsored by the American Heart Association, is set from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 14973 Joshua Street.
