USC's Cushing, Moore, Limited by Practice Injuries

It's not a worry, just a precaution, Pete Carroll said of sitting out defensive starters Brian Cushing and Kyle Moore after both had dressed out for practice.

Cushing took an accidental blow on the hip in the walk-thru before practice and had a type of hip-pointer that USC wanted to take no chances with.

"It's just sore,'' Carroll said after linebacker Cushing, with his pads off, left early for treatment.

And Moore, whose defensive end spot was shared by Clay Matthews Jr. and Mike Morgan, developed back spasms that he said would not limit him the rest of the week but did keep him out of the rest of the practice.
