UCLA standout left tackle Micah Kia left practice early after injuring his left hand while blocking on a field goal attempt and was taken to UCLA medical center to get X-Rays. UCLA Coach Rick Neuheisel said that he was hopeful that Kia would be able to play in the opener on Sept. 1 against Tennessee.
