Pac-10 Coordinator of Football Officiating David Cutaia is showing film clips to illustrate the rules changes for the 2008 season.
USC's Pete Carroll is asking for clarifications and the specifics of exactly how the league's officials will be directed to enforce the new rules.
The early going is not confidence-inspiring.
"Probably,'' Cutaia includes in his answer to the first question.
"I would think so,'' is how he handles the second.
And then this comes next: "(It) may be fine . . . (it) may not be fine.''
Well, now that those have been cleared up.
Pete appears to be out of questions.
