Then he went to the heart of where he was in Year 2 in Tempe.

When he signed his contract to coach at Arizona State, "they didn't show me this year's schedule, just last years.''

That's when ASU opened with "seven or eight'' home games.

This year, after getting a start at home against Northern Arizona, Stanford and UNLV, they host Georgia, hit the road to Cal and USC, then face Oregon at home and Oregon State on the road.

Then Erickson opened it to questions:
