UCR's Martinez into finals

The Highlanders' Brenda Martinez finished third in her heat of the 1500 with a time of 4:17.91 to advance to the NCAA championship finals.

Martinez's time was sixth fastest on the day. The finals are Saturday and will be televised on CBS.
