Howland on Josh Shipp

One positive for the college basketball about the early-entry system is the kids who return to school often are better players because of the hours of drills and conditioning work they put in and the advice they receive from NBA scouts (See Dijon Thompson's senior season for the quintessential example).
Based on this comment from UCLA coach Ben Howland, it appears that could be the case with senior-to-be Josh Shipp next season, assuming he withdraws from the draft before the June 16 deadline as expected.
"I saw Josh today as I was leaving the gym," Howland said. "He was out shooting and he had his shirt off. His body looks better than I've ever seen it. Josh is in tremendous physical condition."
