UCLA's Kevin Love worked out for the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, and among the other big men at his workout was none other than Joey Dorsey, the volatile University of Memphis big man who roughed up the Bruins at the Final Four.
Both big men actually fared well according to this report in the Memphis Commercial Appeal, with Love showcasing his newly svelte body and endurance and Dorsey proving he can hold his own against three likely first rounders (The other two were Texas A&M's DeAndre Jordan and Nevada's JaVale McGee). Look for Love to go somewhere in the upper half of the lottery, possibly as high as No. 3 to Minnesota or No. 5 to the Grizzlies.
"He's gotten himself into great shape since the (Final Four) loss to the Tigers," Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace said. "He's working out well. He got good measurements at the Orlando Pre-Draft Camp. His athleticism is better than expected."
