ESPN 'Face of the program'

ESPN recently released its "Face of the Program" poll and while I admit the Rose Bowl is nice, I hardly think it should be the face of the UCLA football program.

The stadium, while the most historic in the nation, does not even belong to UCLA. The other candidates were Gary Beban (Heisman Tropy winner), Troy Aikman (need we say more?), Terry Donahue (Pac-10's most successful coach) and Jackie Robinson (again, need we say more).

This is just my personal opinion, but I would have gone Robinson, Donahue, Aikman, Beban, the stadium.

The Rose Bowl is the most "historic stadium in the nation." Are you kidding me, Mr. Pearson. Obviously you never heard of Wrigley Field, Yankee Stadium or Fenway Park. Or how about Lambeau Field? Geesh.

I believe the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is more historic than the Rose Bowl when it comes to all events.
