USC, Pac-10, NCAA To Investigate Mayo Allegations

A day after ESPN's charges that USC basketball player O.J. Mayo had benefited from thousands of dollars of what would have been illegal benefits from a representative of a sports agent, the USC athletic department issued this statement late Monday afternoon.

"We are in contact with the NCAA and the Pac-10 and are working with
both in a cooperative investigation to review these new allegations,'' said the statement released by USC Sports Information Director Tim Tessalone.
