If the process of waiting for J'Mison Morgan to officially become a UCLA Bruin seems excruciatingly long, here's a fantastically frivolous way to kill time. My top score is 16, though several colleagues of mine thoroughly decimated that earlier today.
Oh, if you were looking for actual news here, well, here's the mini-update: UCLA didn't receive paperwork confirming LSU's decision to release Morgan today, so nobody affiliated with the program can comment on their interest in him. Soon, however, Morgan will likely sign a non-binding grant-in-aid with UCLA saying that barring yet another change of heart he will be in Westwood this fall competing for the starting center job vacated by Kevin Love.
For those wondering what will become of the fan site, releasemorgan.com, now that Morgan got his wish, here's your short-term answer. You can now send the following tasteful pre-written thank you note to LSU:
Dear LSU Athletic Department: On behalf of all UCLA fans, I am writing to say thank you for releasing J'Mison Morgan from his letter of intent. We wish you the best of luck in the upcoming season, and hope that your new staff can continue to carry on the great tradition of LSU Basketball. Thank you again,
Funny, I don't remember the "Dump Dorrell" folks being this courteous ...
