It took a two-out game-winning hit in the ninth from Aaron Wible to avoid what would have been a disastrous loss to Cal State Northridge on Sunday.

The 4-3 win puts UCR at 7-5 in the Big West with 12 games remaining.
Here are the standings after Sunday's games.

Cal State Fullerton 11-4
UC Santa Barbara 8-4
Long Beach State 8-4
UC Riverside 7-5
UC Davis 7-5
UC Irvine 6-6
Cal Poly 6-9
CSUN 5-10
Pacific 2-13

UCR has the series edge over Long Beach and Irvine, but dropped 2 of 3 to Fullerton to open the conference season. Next up is Pacific.
