Navy to hear input on training center expansion

The U.S. Navy will hold a meeting today to solicit public input about the planned expansion of its evasion and rescue training center in Warner Springs east of Temecula.

The center is where Navy men and women are trained to avoid capture when trapped behind enemy lines. The Navy is set to expand the site, which is in the Cleveland National Forest. Environmental experts from the Navy will talk about the impact of expansion and answer questions from the public.
