Two women’s semifinals and two men’s quarterfinals are scheduled for today in the Pacific Life Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Second-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova will meet fourth-seeded Maria Sharapova in the first women’s semifinal, which will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the earliest, while top-seeded Ana Ivanovic will face third-seeded Jelena Jankovic in a night semifinal beginning at 7 p.m.

Sharapova leads the series against Kuznetsova, 4-3, including victories in each of their last two meetings. Ivanovic has a 4-1 lifetime record against Jankovic, including three victories last year.

This is the first time in the tournament’s 20-year history that the top four women’s seeds all advanced to the semifinals.

Seventh-seeded David Nalbandian will face unseeded Mardy Fish in a men’s quarterfinal that will begin no earlier than 1 p.m. and top-seeded Roger Federer, the world’s top-ranked player for more than four years, will meet unseeded Tommy Haas in the other quarterfinal, which will begin no earlier than 4 p.m.
