Palm Springs has gained its 16th and 17th officially recognized neighborhoods.

The Araby Cove and Mesa Neighborhood organizations are now associated with the city’s Office of Neighborhood Involvement.

Araby Cove runs from the wash south to the top of Araby Road, east to Rim Road and west to encompass all of Smokewood Avenue to the wash. The chairperson is Patrick Jordan.

Mesa’s boundaries are El Camino Way/Ridge Road and Alta Vista Road on the north, the San Jacinto mountains on the east, the centerline of South Palm Canyon Drive on the west and Cantina Way on the south. The chairman is Tom DeWitt.
