A nationwide survey of more than 4,400 workers by CareerBuilder found 61 percent of workers admit they always or usually live paycheck to paycheck. That's up from the 49 percent in 2008 and 43 percent in 2007. More than 21 percent of workers say they've reduced their 401(k) contributions or personal savings in the last six months to get by. More than a third of workers (36 percent) say they do not participate in any retirement programs. What are your money struggles? I'm working with the Financial Planning Association of Austin to put together some money blogs in the next few months. So if you've got a question or a topic you'd like to see covered, send me an e-mail. |
