A really moving morning at the Capitol - the MLK "I have a dream" speech is being broadcast on the capitol lawn for anyone within a two-mile radius to hear. Of course, it's no ordinary Monday... the nation celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. day one day before the inauguration of its first black president. The current president returns to Texas tomorrow, flying into Midland and then to Crawford for the evening. Austinites in the "blue dot" of a red state will have a party to mark Bush leaving office... for more information click here.

As for tomorrow's inauguration, those of you staying in town can still join others to watching the swearing in. Texans for Obama will hold its watch party at Scholz Garten, and the Alamo Drafthouse will be showing the live coverage of the inauguration on the silver screen.

The swearing-in ceremony begins at 11:30am.
