I'm not sure how comforted I should feel because Palin is reading a book. I'm a domestic politics guy with less interest in foreign policy. Still, I've read a couple of books on the subject over the last few years. I was kind of hoping that the next vice president would know significantly more about international terrorism than me.
I'm sure it's a great book. However, I'd like to see some evidence that she's learned something useful from it. I've read seven Harry Potter books and I still can't do any magic.
