Brimer Avoiding the Cameras

2:41 PM Thu, Sep 25, 2008 |

Reporters at our sister station up in Dallas-Fort Worth (WFAA-TV) can't seem to get State Senator Kim Brimer to talk to them. The senator is up for re-election against former Fort Worth City Councilwoman Wendy Davis, and yet he refused to debate her and has turned down WFAA-TV's interview requests again and again. The result? People in that viewing area have heard very little from their state senator.

Here's WFAA's latest piece regarding the ethics investigations into both Brimer and Davis. (Brimer's is pending, Davis' was dismissed.) You'll notice that Davis went on camera for this story and Brimer did not.

Why should Bimer, this is old news and the local paper even ran an editorial saying Davis was barking up the wrong tree. Davis is catching flack for scheduling a fund raiser at Fred Baron's, John Edwards Mistress Sugardaddy, house with sponsorships going up to 10,000. Before you continue to run old stories check your facts.

There's too much politics in Texas to fit into a newscast, so the fun continues here.
