Scott McClellan's Book Tour Kicks Off

Austinite and former Bush Press Secretary Scott McClellan appeared on the Today Show this morning, where he said he decided he had to start telling the truth. Now there's this wacky "truth" stuff spilling out all over the place, and McClellan's former White House colleagues are doing all they can to discredit him. Here's his interview from this morning. Let us know what you think.

So Scott McClellan wants to "come clean" now.

OK, let's assume his motives are pure (hmmm...). Even still, this whole bit about "the press corps was easy on Bush" is a load of crap. No one was more complicit in spinning the media than McClellan, and now he wants to critize them for LETTING him do it?

Sure, he's right. But that's like a rapist criticizing the victim for not fighting back hard enough.

And now he'll become a millionaire off this book. Nice.
