Still Countin' the Caucus Results

Precisely many delegates will be awarded to each candidate from last night's caucuses won't be known for good until the Democratic state convention in June. But in the meantime, here's the TDP's look at who's in the lead in each state senate district.

I think Hilary should quit and let Barock Obama be the Dem. Nomanee.

Any idea what's taking the caucus count so long?

I think David should learn to spell.

Anne - each precinct has 3 days to turn in the results of their conventions. There is technically an 800 number to phone in unofficial results, but I watched my precinct chair last night try for an hour to get through while getting busy signals.

The Party has to verify all the results, then the precinct convention delegates have to go to county/senate district conventions and send delegates to the Texas convention in June. It's there that they'll decide how many of the 67 delegates go to each candidate, which means it will be a while until we know the answer.

Joe, thanks for the explanation and yes, maybe we could chip in for a dictionary for David.

I went to my caucus at precinct #367 in Travis county. The only abuse that took place was the threats from the Clinton camp for a lawsuit because of the process.

That threat caused people to leave as the precinct captain was on the phone trying to figure out what to do, while people waited to begin the sign in stage, for about 40 minutes. For 40 minutes people left.

Elderly people in wheelchairs and parents with kids waited and waited and waited. I've had it with the Clinton and Bush dynasties, and how they are rewarded for stealing elections at any cost.

There's too much politics in Texas to fit into a newscast, so the fun continues here.
