Debate Tickets By Invitation Only

Doh. Bad news for those of you who have been wanting to score tickets for the Democratic presidential debate in Austin next week. Tickets will be available by invitation only, meaning lots of big donors and party bigwigs will get the invites and regular folks probably won't.

But the Texas Democratic Party, in order to accomodate viewing, will host a watch party open to the public at the Hyatt on Barton Springs. The cost to attend that? $50, which includes food. The TDP also invited both candidates to stop by the watch party after the debate is over that night.

"This was all produced by CNN, we have no control over access to this," said TDP spokesman Hector Nieto.

That's Democratic? I want to attend and to ask a question. How can I do that?

There's too much politics in Texas to fit into a newscast, so the fun continues here.
