Hi everyone! Thanks for checking in and reading my blog. As a new parent, I'm realizing just how precious time is β I had no idea!
Since my last entry, a lot has changed.
Peter is now 10 weeks old and finally starting to overcome some of his challenges with colic. My heart just aches for him because it's easy to see his little digestive system has put him in so much pain. But, I think we're turning the corner!
He also received his first round of immunizations β boy, that was no picnic! He actually took the shots very well, but his mom was a nervous wreck. I guess it's something I just have to get used to β but that may be one of the toughest assignments I've ever faced. I told my husband that next time it's his turn!
This past weekend Peter was baptized, as well. He's a busy boy! It was a beautiful ceremony and all of our family was able to travel to Austin to attend. It was so nice and such an honor. Once again, I'm left feeling extremely humbled by the beautiful and precious gift we've been so blessed with. Life will certainly never be the same again!
Thanks for reading and watching KVUE. Until next time, have a great day!
Christine

Christine, my family & I watch kvue as our favorite news source.
Is there anyway that you could put a photo on the Kvue website, or on your blog, of your newborn, Peter?? I was working the night that you brought him to Kvue's studios, but my wife, Brenda got to see him.
My family will keep you in our prayers, as a new Mom. We're sure that God will give you the grace, wisdom & strength as a mother. My wife has a mother's heart just like yours, & I've seen what a special gift that has been in her life.
Just wanted to encourage you as a new Mom.

Hello Christine and welcome to the wonderful but sometimes bittersweet world of motherhood! The shots were always a hard thing for me to watch but I hesitated to send my husband to do it because I had to know everything and be sure and in control (yeah right!) of everything my little guy was involved in. So it was tough decision. I ended up thinking that even though it was the "end of the world" for my baby, I wanted to be the one to "make it all better" for him. My first baby boy is now 17 and my second is 9 and I still go through the same emotions and feelings every time we see the pediatrician. But THAT is what being a mother is all about.
