Warhawk Museum, P-51 Days

June 06, 2006

P-51 days will be happening at the Warhawk Museum in Nampa this Saturday and Sunday during regular museum hours. Working P-51 Mustang aircraft will be flying and a static display of a P-51C will be on display. In addition the Duane Beeson memorial has returned home to the museum. Beeson died shortly after WWII from a brain tumor but during the war he was Idaho’s Ace Fighter Pilot. His nickname on his plane was “The Boise Bee”. You can learn more about Beeson and other veterans this weekend. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend with free airplane rides offered to kids age 8-18 by the Experimental Aviation Association on Saturday morning only. For more information including costs and times check out the museum website.
