« Riverglen Junior High | Main | Today's Dentistry, Nampa » Boise Main Post OfficeMay 09, 2006Saturday is the annual Letter Carriers Food Drive. We spent the morning at the Boise main post office talking about the need for food donations throughout the valley. The needs in our area continue all year long. During the holidays we often think about charitable donations for the needy, but at this time of the year the shelves empty out for the Food Bank. The letter carriers of the valley will be gathering food donations we put out this weekend. A reminder card will go out this week, along with a plastic bag. All we need to do is put our donation of non-perishable food in the bag and place next to our mailbox or hang it from the box. The letter carriers will do the rest with a goal of gathering more than 200,000 pounds of food to help throughout the rest of the year. Posted by Larry Gebert at May 9, 2006 11:40 AM © KTVB TV |
