Meridian Middle School

This week, April 23 – 29 is national volunteer week. The Americorp volunteers are reminding all of us about the benefits we feel when we pitch in and help. Today we were with a group of students from Meridian Middle School who spent last Friday night in Story Park in Meridian in cardboard boxes to experience life as a homeless person. Since that time the students have been able to raise more than $100,000 for Habitat for Humanity and several hundred pounds of food for the Meridian Food Bank plus donations of clothing for the needy.
