NEW YORK (AP) -- Vibe magazine has lost its mojo. The hip-hop and urban culture magazine founded by music producer Quincy Jones is shutting down. A magazine executive says most of the company's 50 or so employees will be laid off. Vibe was founded in 1993. Its paid circulation was roughly 800,000 during the last six months of last year. A New York private equity firm acquired the magazine in 2006. |
