COLOR YOUR WORLD

Vickie Newton

Hold up...just one quick second before you close the book on 2008! I would like to take you back a few years to your first day of first grade. Remember the smell of the freshly painted room, your desk with your name written on it in perfect teacher-print, and that highly coveted box of 64 crayons. Oh, the possibilities.

The town hall meeting is the finale for the series, "A Shared Saint Louis: An Examination of Race Relations". The meeting will be recorded and broadcast later this month. But we want y...

COURAGE IS EVERGREEN

There are 140 silver ornaments in my closet. For 12 months, they have waited for Christmas. And it appears they will have to wait another 12.

When I raced to the store to purchase them during the after-Christmas sale last year, visions of an evergreen shouldering all those glorious ornaments filled my head. Months later, I am still waiting to move to my new home and planning to spend the holiday with my boyfriend and his family. Ther...
