July 2008 ArchivesGood things are happening in Saint Louis. Yes, it's still true: Stella bought Bud. And very few in our city are pleased with her decision...like her taste just not her style. But Saint Louis City, the Cardinals, and Baltimore-based developer Cordish have found common ground. Luckily, they're going to meet in the middle of that two year-old crater across from Busch Stadium. When the dust clears, there will be 600,000 squa... It was 1979, but I remember it like it happened yesterday. Buckets of rain ran down the patio door, and I stood watching the puddling water in our backyard. My mom was calm...using what my brother and I refer to as her "counselor" voice. I was in trouble. A rare occurence for me...the straight arrow known for reading scores of books, playing a mean classical piano, and a delicate demeanor with adults and peers ali... Right after Christmas, I made a to-do list for 2008. Remember that? I planned to take a trip every quarter, read three books a month, learn to knit...yada...yada. Well, it's time to review. I haven't learned to knit. Much to my dismay, you won't see me doing the tango on "Dancing With The Stars" because I didn't start my salsa lessons; oh, and my commitment to healthy eating is still easily derailed by the latest special at ... |
