Finally, the king is dead. Thursday's indictment of Barry Bonds pretty much confirms everything the entire sports nation has known -- -- for most of the last few years.
It looks like his trainer -- Greg Anderson -- who has spent more than a year (during two different stints) in prison holding his silence for Bonds may have flipped on him...Anderson was released from prison thursday afternoon.
It officially tarnishes what was theorhetically tarnished and its a shame nothing came about earlier this year before he broke Aaron's HR record. Also expect to see a slew of other big names in baseball being outed over the next couple of months. Once you get the big fish, many other names will come out. Don't you wish you were a fly on the wall at msrs McGwire and Sosa's houses tonight.
The irony of the Bonds situation is, that it was his jealousy over McGwire's fame and noteriety over the single season HR record that supposedly provided the impetus for him to dabble into the cream & the clear. He was a first ballot HOFer before the substances...now, along with McGwire he will nervously play the waiting game...although in Bonds case, it could be from a jail cell.
