November 2007 ArchivesAlright we are down to 48 hours till the new biggest game in Missouri history and as optimistic as I was last week that Mizzou would win I am equally as nervous this week. As the week has continued I keep thinking that Oklahoma is a lot better than most people in black and gold glasses would like to believe. The fact is the Sooners are a very talented team and are every bit as good as Missouri on paper. Missouri fans want to tell you tha... I have been absolutely floored this week at the utter disdain the national media has had toward a possible West Virginia vs. Missouri National Championship Game. I have seen things written about how bad this is for college football. I have seen the game called the battle of the Hicks vs. the Hee-Haws. I break it down to simple snobbery by the "big boys" in college football. They just can't stand that their beloved SEC team, Michigan, O... We will definitely be dissecting this Big XII Championship Game all week on the TV side and certainly online but here are some quick thoughts on the game.... You will see some national pundits this week talking about a letdown game for the Tigers. I have no doubt in my mind that Gary Pinkel will have his team prepared. Tonight is the night that a dream can be fulfilled that I always dreamt about but never was anywhere close to seeing fulfilled. Published reports were conflicting today saying that the Cardinals were trying to trade Scott Rolen to Minnesota. I would be absolutely floored if this were anywhere near the truth. The first problem is the Cardinals are still on the hook for 36 million dollars. I can't believe that another major league team would want to take on that sort of salary for his production. That leaves only one other scenario in which the Cardinals would ea... The Tigers moved up to 6th in the BCS Poll today and I am convinced now more than ever that if they run the table they will play in the National Championship game. Here is my line of thinking...... This is a weird place for Mizzou fans but you want to be rooting for Kansas and have the Jayhawks at 11-0 for that final game at Arrowhead. The other thing you want is for Oklahoma to be 11-1 heading into the Big XII Championship game. ... Before we crown the Patriots supreme rulers of the universe there is this little thing called playing the game that we have to do. I understand how awesome and special a season this has been for New England but I have never seen a defending Super Bowl Champion so underappreciated.
