This story about Rush Limbaugh is quickly gaining national attention. Al Sharpton and BT Rice say they'll ask the NFL to reject the bid from Limbaugh's group, based on what they say is Limabugh's divisive commenst in the past. Others see this as a high profile ownership that would make the team more high profile. 3 CommentsLeave a comment |

Well what would be the other side of the coin if Rush does not buy the Rams? Move them out of St Louis? That would be fine with me, in fact just get rid of the Rams all together, they can't play anyway.
I hope Rush wins the bid. He is an upstanding American who has a very strong opinion.
I am a little upset about this whole situation. The idea of Rush Limbaugh wanting to buy the Rams has nothing to do with race and the support of the NAACP. Since when did football become a "race issue" other than the obvious observation that men of different skin color play the game. Mr. Rice's comments stating that Rush Limbaugh never supported the NAACP or African American rights,is at best, ridiculous! Why do I care if the NAACP is liberal or conservative? Is Mr. Rice saying that football is distinctly liberal or conservative? Why should Mr. Rice care if Mr. Limbaugh is "right winged" as long as he is a good owner and does his job. I think that African American men, like other "white" men are quite capable of making their own decisions as men. They choose to play football and do what it takes to be a part of a "team," regardless of their color.
Mr. Rice should be ashamed of himself for even suggesting these things, and I hope that the NAACP is not really supporting this kind of unreasonable and unfounded criticism just because
they want their liberal agenda and their way of life forced upon people, "white" or "black" of a different opinion who still feel that race isn't an issue. African American people are a special race, but no more special than Caucasians, Asians, etc.
For the record, I am a Caucasian male, whose best friend is an African American man. Today, I challenge Mr. Rice, not only to be a truthful African American man, but to be an African "American" man who lives in the "United" States, or is this going to be an issue of almost two hundred years ago that the current "white" generation needs to endure and isn't responsible for?
all you people against rush limbough buying into the rams keep it up. maybe someone from out of town will step up and take them away from st louis
