It seems we're all breathing alot better now that the heat wave has broken. But the danger hasn't passed for animals left in parked cars.
The Human Society says that even when it's 75 degrees outside the temp in car can hit 116 even with the windows cracked, and if it's 85 outside it can go to 120 in a car.
Since a dog's body metabolism doesn't handle heat as efficiently as humans, these animals can die in a matter fo minutes.
So please, take the advice of the Human Society and keep pets out of parked cars this summer.
