| 8th Grader Killed During Robbery Remembered Today »
It is 9 p.m. and I am sitting in a parking lot, just off of 70 in Warrenton. This is initial staging area - where we'll wait for the storms to roll in before following the line into St. Louis. Right now, I'm looking off to the west and seeing some lightning in the distance and we're getting a few rain drops on our windshield. If you check out the radar, you can see there are now two lines of storms heading our way. We're ready for them. We have a truck, two laptops we can use to blog and Skype, I'm also going to try some new technology that will let me stream good quality video from a phone. Tonight, it's all about staying mobile so we can follow the weather into town and give you updates on what we're seeing. As Kent mentioned earlier today, there's a chance of heavy rain and hail. We've heard of at least one death earlier today in Kirksville, Missouri after a suspected tornado ripped through the area. |
